Google and Yahoo bulk sender requirements
Since February 2024, senders posting more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail or Yahoo must authenticate with SPF and DKIM, publish DMARC, offer one-click unsubscribe, and stay under a 0.3% spam complaint rate.
What causes it
- Crossing the 5,000/day threshold without DMARC published, which is the requirement most senders miss.
How to fix it
Publish SPF and DKIM for every sending source, add at minimum v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=... at _dmarc.yourdomain, and make sure the From: domain aligns with your DKIM signing domain. The threshold counts per-domain, per-day, across both providers.
